When the announcement was made that young ladies could serve a mission everyone is our family just knew that Stormy should serve a mission.
Unfortunately Stormy didn't know it.
We all gave her a hard time and encouraged her to pray about it. But, if you know Stormy, then you know how stubborn she is when you try and talk her into something.
Then - miraculously she decided that she should serve a mission. And we all said, "Well Duh!"
But - we were super excited for her.
She was called to serve in the Chile´ Santiago East Mission - she reported to the MTC in Chile on November 19th.
So on November 18th - all the Bigelow's packed up once again and headed off to the airport to annoy everyone with our big, loud group. We distracted her with lots of picture taking and with a surprise guest....
Yeah, see that blurry man on the right side of this picture? That is President Uchdorf. We were able to talk with him for a little bit and he wished Stormy well on her mission.
I told her if that isn't good juju for her mission - then nothing is.
And just like when a missionary comes home - this is once again the most precious moment and one of my favs.
I know we will all miss Stormy. She lived with us for a year. She is definitely a little ray of sunshine. We miss her here in our home. But I know she is doing the right thing and I know that there is someone in Chile who will greatly benefit from her decision to serve a mission.
Have fun and work hard Stormy! We'll see you in 18 months!
