The second half of the wrestling season is freestyle. Similar to what they do in high school and college, with just a few differences. However, it is interesting to me how much those changes affect the boys. Nathan struggles with folkstyle, but LOVES freestyle. He did really well at the tournament. He wrestled hard and placed 4th at State! I am so proud of him!
Now Thomas, he loves folkstyle, but hates freestyle. Thomas really struggles with the mental game. So, because he already doesn't like this style he goes in believing he's not very good. Which is such a contrast to his mindset in folkstyle. He feels that he's the best during that season. Which is why he feels he won the state championships. Today, Thomas struggled again and didn't place. But, he also wrestled hard and never gave up. I am proud of him as well.
