The bad news is that it was sooooo disorganized.
They started super late and kept stopping and several times no one was wrestling on 3 of the mats. It was ridiculous. Especially since they had us register and weigh-in several days before.
But - enough of my rant.
When we finally started wrestling (after sitting there for 10 hours.....), the boys worked hard.
Thomas had a really tough bracket. Plus, his was one of the weight groups that kept getting screwed up. They were wrestling until 2:00am! Seriously. Worst run tournament EVER.
But, Thomas won 4 and lost 2. He just missed the medals. He ended up placing 7th.
Nathan was totally prepared for this tournament. He cracked me up as we sat there with all of his rituals that he used to pump himself up.
Well....all of his hard work paid off because Nathan is the 2013 State Champion!
I've never seen him so happy.
Of course he had to be all blinged out for church.
These Bigelow boys really make me proud!
