Jared served his mission in Indiana. When he was there he met a man named Tom Porter who looked after all the missionaries. Tom and Jared quickly became friends, and Tom is convinced that they are brothers. Because of that, he also quickly became a part of our family. This is the man that Thomas is named after. We love him so much.
Back in 2005 his health was starting to decline and so he moved from Indiana to Utah where he felt that he would be closer to all of his friends. We were glad to have him closer, but in 2010 he gave us a real good scare where he almost died. After that he realized he wanted to be closer to us. His desire is to buried in Eagar with the rest of the Bigelows.
A few months ago, he called me and told me that he was ready to move to Chandler and be with us. It took a little bit of searching, but we found a wonderful home for him. We got all the dates secured and over Memorial Day weekend we drove up to Utah and brought him home.
It has taken a week, but we finally have him all settled in his new home. The boys and I have been to visit him every day. The boys can't get enough of him. And he loves being around the boys. We get in little arguments because he wants to spoil them. But overall we're so excited to finally have Tom home with us where he belongs.
He's being naughty and won't smile for me.

I'm not a big Utah fan, but I have to admit the mountains are beautiful.
We were dying of heat and he was freezing, so we bundled him up in his jacket and wrapped him in a blanket and we were ready to roll!
Good-bye Utah! Thanks for taking care of our friend!

What a wonderful story showing how the care that is given does go full circle. Thanks for sharing it... I am appreciating more & more the Bigelows & continuing to see how your sons are such awesome members of the world we live in. Love it!
